What is inspection?

Inspection is when a request is made to look at the documents included in the disclosure list. This lets you know more about the other party's case. A written request must be made to inspect any documents in the list. You must be allowed to inspect the documents no more than 7 days after your request is received. You are allowed to ask for copies of the document, but this will have to be at your expense.

What happens if I do not want the other party to inspect a document?

If you have not disclosed or allowed inspection of a document you may not be allowed to use it to support your case.
