Going to court, is it worth it?

Most court claims are issued for money owed for work done or goods delivered and often these claims are not disputed.

You need to consider whether you are likely to win your claim and you need to find out if the defendant has the money, assets or anything else of value that will get you your money.

Always follow pre-action protocol before you issue your claim to ensure you meet the courts requirements. If there is a dispute then consider using a proportionate type of alternative dispute resolution first and if this fails then issue a court claim.
