What if I don't want to accept the amount the defendant has offered?

If you do not accept the amount the defendant has offered, you need to complete the bottom half of the Notice of Admission and send it to the court. Once the court has made a decision about how much money you are entitled to, the court will send an order to you and the defendant explaining any instructions (or "directions") given.

The order may include a date for a hearing.
